Weight loss..... the mind game
Your body sees your fat loss attempts as an attack, a dangerous interference in its system. Mentally it is a process usually accompanied by frustration. Loosing weight demands a lot of willpower. You have to be mentally prepared if you want to succeed. To avoid failure, you will need to build up the "#1 secret of weight loss" which is PERSISTENCE. The willpower to suceed. It is a simple as that!
Losing weight starts in the head. It's a highly challenging mind game.
You have to learn to deal with this challenge, the temptation to give up, to throw the towel easily, to find any excuse you can think of.
The truth is, no matter how many weight loss products you buy, no matter how many weight control programs you join.. you must be determined to succeed.
One way of achieving this is to write down your goals.
Why do you need to write them down you ask? Because the next step is to break down these goals into their individual components. Analyze where you are now and compare this against the target you have set. Then determine the intermediate phases that can be achieved along the way.
An example would be a target to lose 10 kilos. This can be broken down into five lots of two kilo blocks of weight loss. In doing this breakdown, remember that the more involved or demanding your target, then the more intermediate steps that should be set along the way.
Also, be prepared to modify your plan in the unfortunate event that you are unable to achieve a goal that you have set. Do not regard this as a failure. It just needs a bit of adjustment. Most people are a little over optimistic when setting these types of plans - especially on their first attempt.
Always analyze the situation to ensure that it was a realistic goal in the first place.
